The theme of the event was "Your Questions Answered" following responses received by residents during the consultation to decide on the tests to be used for reviewing Green Belt land in Bookham.

Forum members were on hand to answer any questions and explain what stage the project has currently reached.  As well as to inform the community about the Green Belt review currently underway.  On this page you can watch the videos shown during the morning and download display material, FAQs, a map and list of sites put forward for consideration by landowners and developers, please see below.

A great feature of the Community Event were the videos which have been prepared to give an overview of the project and cover an Introduction to Bookham Vanguard and the Neighbourhood Plan, Population Increase and New Homes for Bookham, Infrastructure Issues and How the Plan Can Tackle Them, and finally, Planning for the Future of Retail in Bookham.  To watch simply click play on the videos above.

The remaining displays showed a potted history of Bookham Vanguard, how the Forum was created and how the Neighbourhood Planning Process works and what the benefits for Bookham are.

Also on display were details of the consultation which decided on the tests to be used to review Green Belt land in Bookham (part of the wider Mole Valley Green Belt review) and details of land which has been suggested by landowners and developers as potential sites for development.  Which, if any, site or sites are ultimately put forward in the Neighbourhood Plan depends on the results of the Green Belt Review currently underway and further technical tests to ascertain any resusting site's suitability for development.
